Launching a new fundraising program can be a daunting task. We will explore ways that new and young nonprofits can raise the funds necessary to support their missions. Participants will learn how to engage their board in fundraising, set realistic goals, identify prospective donors, solicit support and properly steward donor funds.

Allison McElroy, CFRE, is the owner and principal of the McElroy Group, a fundraising consulting firm serving Northwest Arkansas. She has 25 years of experience in fundraising, including a successful $6.5 million capital campaign for Open Avenues, Inc. She is a past president and founding member of the Northwest Arkansas chapter of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

Melanie Palmer, GPC, is the owner and principal of M. Palmer Consulting, a fundraising consulting firm specializing in grants. She has been fundraising for 11 years and has raised millions of dollars for nonprofit organizations, both as a staff member and consultant. She is a founding member and past president of the Arkansas Chapter of Grant Professionals Association and a past president of the Association of Fundraising Professionals.

The program will take place in the Walker Community room.  It is free and open to the public but registration is required.

      Registration opens February 24.
